Joint R2/R3 Leadership Institute Meeting June 2023

THIS EVENT IS FOR R2/R3 CHAPTER LEADERS AND THEIR GUESTS ONLY.

Dear PMI Chapter Leaders for Region 2 and Region 3,

All chapter leaders and their guests from R2 and R3 are invited to attend the first ever combined Region 2 & Region 3 Leadership Institute Meeting (LIM). The event will take place from June 15 - 17, 2023, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What is the Region 2 & Region 3 Leadership Institute Meeting (LIM)?
The purpose of a R2 and R3 LIM is not to duplicate PMI Global events, but instead to maximize time for collaboration and relationship building at the region and Chapter level for Chapter leaders. There will be leadership skill development and information sharing, but the face-to-face interaction and relationship building with other chapters leaders in similar roles is the primary value of the event!

This event is separate from the PMI Global North America LIM in April 2023.

Why should you attend?
Share - Share knowledge and experience of chapter leaders and members, to avoid reinventing the wheel and to help others learn to improve their results.

Collaborate - Collaboration leverages the “we are better than me” principle. We should be able to leverage the skills and time available for each regional leader to improve results and save time for all.

Engage - Learn how to use the services and ideas available. 
Lead - Leadership development is a benefit to all of us and our chapters and members. 

Member Value - In the end, we want our members to have a better member experience.

Information for Booking Flights and Travel Arrangements
For chapter leaders who will take part in the SAG Meeting, which is normally the president of each chapter, they are encouraged to arrange travel to participate in the meeting starting 12pm CST on Thursday, June 15, at the St. Thomas University Campus, downtown Minneapolis.

All other leaders are encouraged to arrive by 5pm CST, June 15, to attend the networking reception from 5pm to 7pm CST. This reception will also be held at the St. Thomas University Campus located in downtown Minneapolis.

The official activities for the conference will end by Saturday, June 17 at 12pm CST, so participants can arrange travel home any point after this time. Although, many leaders may choose to stay longer to take advantage of local activities and attractions.

Expected Costs for Chapters
While registration costs are still being finalized, chapters should budget the following per attendee:
$200 - $250 USD Registration Fee
$169 USD per Night for Accommodations
Travel / Flight Costs to Minneapolis, Minnesota
Meals during conference events will be provided as part of registration cost but chapters may want to budget for meals during travel periods.
