Beyond Stakeholder Management: The IEAS Stakeholder Relationship Model

Session 4 | Monday, September 28 | 2:30 - 3:30 pm

Presented by Kathryn Milani, MSEd, PMP and Nila Vaishnav, BA, BS, PMP

It's commonly known that stakeholder identification and management are key project deliverables, however, what’s not commonly practiced is to build a true stakeholder relationship. The word “relationship” means the way in which two or more people are connected. More often than not, we miss that “connection” and in turn the relationship is superficial and shaky. We need to remind ourselves that connecting or not connecting, directly coincides with our project success or failure respectively. We say this because in our 20 plus years of working for diverse industries, we have been on both sides of this spectrum and that’s why we designed a specific model as a remedy. It provides a systematic approach to build that connection, that chemistry, that rapport with our stakeholders to create a solid and sustainable bond.

In this session, you will learn about that model we have created for you to follow. We are calling this the IEAS model short for Identification, Engagement, Alignment, and Sustainment. So, everyone, let’s all get on the journey with the duo, Kate and Nila to learn, apply and achieve success by having that tight-knit, genuine stakeholder relationship.
