Professional Development Days 2022: Education Day - Class 1

Experiential Learning of Lean and Operational Excellence

This workshop provides hands-on experience for participants to learn and understand the principles of Lean and operational excellence. During this experiential learning session, participants will apply the knowledge they progressively develop during the day while being exposed to 6 engaging and challenging simulation rounds. Each round brings an additional depth of understanding of continuous flow and built-in quality concepts. The simulation was initially developed by Toyota veterans to accelerate the understanding of the Toyota Production System. By the end of the day, participants will have an experiential and theoretical understanding of how the Toyota Production System works as a holistic operational system connecting the work, its improvement, and its management.
