From the Triple Constraint to Strategic Business Outcomes: Practical Benefits Realization Management

Session 1 | Tuesday, September 29 | 9:45 - 10:45 am

Presented by Kathryn Milani, MSEd, PMP and Nila Vaishnav, BA, BS, PMP

All strategic change in an organization happens through projects, portfolios and programs. Projects can no longer be done in isolation. They are part of the overall integrated business strategy for the organization. We must look beyond the project “deliverables” and move our focus towards strategic business outcomes that have real business impact on the bottom line and will enhance an organization’s competitive advantage. Benefits Realization Management (BRM) is the framework to help your organization proactively manage benefits by aligning projects, programs and portfolios to the company’s overarching strategy.

In this session, you will learn the four step process for the practical nuts and bolts application of the BRM process: Identity, Define, Plan and Realize. We use reflection, discussion, interactive storytelling and practice application to engage participants and enable them to transfer their new knowledge and skills into their workplace.
